Clergy and television

Today as social structures inherited from the XXth century and before are weakening for reasons we shall study, it can be argued clergy -- that is, the social agent in charge of what the population should believe (usually that the present social order is a satisfactory one, willed by gods) -- has been replaced by television, which is, as it has always been, a space of strong power struggle under control of the power elite.
