Aims Introduce tangible and financial assets management by the firm.
Present main concepts and tools in value creation and in project evaluation.
Provide student with a practical knowledge of how to evaluate investment projects.
The course will also contain an introduction to the main probabilistic tools needed in finance.

Goals and functions of finance.

Relations between money, value, time, return and risk.

Random variables simple theory and practice.

Opportunity cost of capital.

Concepts and tools to optimize investments in tangible assets, in projects and in securities.

Discounted cash flow analysis.

Portfolio evaluation and Capital Asset Pricing Model
